Over the past 25 years, I have created an interesting concept that shows we have a lot to learn on
basic kitchen ingredients such as salt, pepper, soya sauce, water, oil, and even honey.

In 1995, I started with a mineral water tasting where the tap water was rated better than some well-known
bottled mineral water. This tasting alone managed to have 14 media articles and resulted in the well-known
television program, Carte Blanche, doing an insert to elaborate and investigate the state of water in South Africa.

My salt tasting provided me the opportunity to travel from Durban to Cape Town, Johannesburg, and
Paris (France) to do additional salt tastings.
​
I do offer ingredient tasting as well as food and beverage pairing as a service.
